Shabri- A schedule caste woman-Bhil woman- A devotee of Rama-disciple of sage Matanga.
Shachi - daughter of Paloma demon- wife of Indra.

Sharda -Goddess of Learning.
Sharad Poornima - Autumn full Moon.
Sharad Ritu- Autumn- Season after the Rainy season is over.
Sharbhang- A sage.
Shatrughan - The son of King Dashrath and Sumitra- brother of Lakshmana- step brother of Rama, Bharat– called Ripusadan.

Sharupa- Wife of Manu (who created the world ).

His body is smashed with ashes- wears Tiger’s skin and Deer’s skin round the loin.The demigod who supervises the material quality of ignorance and the final destruction of the meterial cosmos- married Sati daughter of Daksh and then afterward married Parvati daughter of Himvan and Maina . Shurpanakha - Daughter of Kaiksi and Pulastya- A sister of King Ravana- Lived in Dandkarnya-whose nose and ears were deformed by Laxmana.
Sibi - The king was noted for his piety and large hearted - Agni & Indra took the form of hawk and a pigeon- to Save pigeon Sibi offered his flesh and lastly head- Agni and Indra appeared in their own celestial forms .
Siddhas - A class of celestial beings endowed with supernatural Powers.
Sihinka - killed by Hanuman.
Siladhis -A king- daughter Vishwamohini.
Sita- Daughter of King Janak -Wife of Rama- kidnapped by Ravana- had two sons Luv and Kush. Other names of Sita- Janki, Janaknandini Mithilesh kumari, Vaidehi , Videhnandini, Janak Kishori .
Sitanath- Rama.
Solar Eclipse- On the day of the new moon-When the sun and the moon are in conjunction solar eclipse takes place.

Atala ,Vital , Sutala , Talatala , Mahatala , Rasatala , Patala .
Spring - The king of seasons.
Sringi- The sage performed a noble sacrifice for the birth of a son to the king Dashrath.

Sruti - Knowledge via hearing- the original Vedic scripturs ( Vedas and Upanisads ).given directly by the Supreme Lord.

Sushen - A Vaidya in Lanka.
Sumali- Son of Sukeshi- brother of Mali and Malyavan.
Sumantra- A charioteer of king Dashrath and trusted counsellor.
Surabhi - Mother of Vrishabh- the chariot of Shiva- creator of Kshirsagar.
Sutikshan- A rishi.
Swaymbnuva- Manu- the son of Brahma.
Swan - A bird that drinks only milk- is believed to feed on pearls- credited with the natural gift of separating milk from water.
